About Achini's Village
A new model for fighting homelessness — built from the inside out.
Why We Exist
Achini's Village exists to break the cycle of homelessness by providing a campus-based, 4-year comprehensive treatment program that addresses housing, addiction recovery, mental and physical health, occupational training, and community belonging.
We believe that homelessness is not a character flaw but a systems failure — and that a connected, village-based approach can rebuild lives from the ground up. Fixing the homelessness issue has to be a connected effort.
Why This Approach Is Different
Traditional Approach
Emergency shelters, meal programs, and short-term interventions. Keeps people alive tonight but rarely addresses root causes. The same faces cycle through year after year.
The Village Model
A 4-year residential campus. Treats the whole person: mental health, addiction, physical wellness, job skills, and community. Residents graduate with careers, housing plans, and a support network.
The Campus Vision
Achini's Village will be a self-contained campus with everything residents need to heal, learn, and grow — all in one place.
Dual-Board Governance
Achini's Village uses a dual-board structure that separates strategic oversight from daily operations — ensuring accountability, transparency, and mission alignment at every level.

Where We Are Now
Achini's Village is currently in the legal formation phase. We are incorporating as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in North Carolina and building community support through our newsletter, partnerships, and events.
Based in Greensboro, NC — one of the cities where homelessness numbers haven't improved since 2016 despite decades of traditional interventions. George Achini's methodology offers a new path forward, and we're asking the community to walk it with us.
The Village Yearbook
Every person who lends their voice becomes a face in the Village Yearbook — a living record of everyone who said “enough.” At year's end, we compile every face and name into a physical yearbook and present it to Greensboro city council as the people's mandate. Politicians respond to faces, not petitions. The yearbook is proof that the community demands a real solution.
You don't need to donate. You just need to show up — with your face and your name.
