Greensboro Proposes Ending the Doorway Project, Expanding Permanent Housing

The proposal includes establishing two cooling and overnight shelter sites to prevent heat-related deaths and reduce loitering, helping 10 families living in vehicles transition into apartments, and providing 20 individuals with direct housing support. The plan still requires city council approval.
